Materials, and Grades, and Homework Oh My!

What you will need:

3 Ring Binder devoted with your heart and soul to "la classe de Français!"

SOME PAPER TO PUT IN IT FOR OCCASIONAL EXERCISES

Un stylo/un crayon tous les jours! (a pen or pencil each day!)

* And ya know...the will to SUCCEED. You WILL succeed (as far as I'm concerned!)

GRADING POLICY

Tests - 20%
Quizzes - 40%
"Baby" Quizzes/Formative Assessments - 20%
Homework - 10%
Participation- 10 %

There will be 4 CUTS (Common Unit Tests) administered, one per quarter during the school year.
Each CUT will count as TWO test grades.

At the beginning of the school year an SLO (Student Learning Objective) will be administered at each grade level.  This test is merely a tool we use to assess the progress our students make throughout the school year. The test will be given by the 3rd week in September.

HOMEWORK POLICY -

*You will see homework on the blog written as "LES DEVOIRS" when we have any.
-Students completing homework in the time-frame asked will receive a grade of 100, as well as a 'ticket' reward.

-Students have ONE day to bring in late/absent homework. They will receive a full grade of 100 if they bring it in within that time period. (They will not receive a 'ticket' as a reward for completing homework one day late.)

-After the one day grace period, a grade of 'zero' will be entered in the assignment column.
-A grade of 50 can also be issued for partially done/poorly completed homework.
