Truffles are held in high esteem in French, northern Italian and Istrian cooking, as well as in international haute cuisine. Looking for truffles in open ground is almost always carried out by this specially trained animal, although more recently dogs have been preferred.

- Je regrette, not so fun as above :( Time to get serious...

- Take 1st practice "PROFICIENCY" - the test you take at the end of the year...see what you think...

Pigs hunt truffles, although apparently there are frequently problems where the pig tries to go ahead and eat the truffle! After all, they did go to the trouble of finding it...haha.
